The DMU 95 monoBLOCK is a type of the DMG MORI 5-axis CNC machine. It excels at processing complex metal parts with precision and efficiency. Watch the video to see how it works.
1. Design and Programming:
Engineers create a 3D model of the part using CAD software. The design is converted into CNC-compatible G-code using CAM software.
2. Workpiece Setup:
The raw material (e.g., aluminum, titanium, or stainless steel) is securely clamped onto the machine’s worktable. The appropriate cutting tools are selected based on the material and design requirements.
3. Machining Process:
The DMU 95 monoBLOCK moves the cutting tool along the X, Y, and Z axes while simultaneously rotating the workpiece on the A and B axes. This multi-axis movement allows the tool to reach difficult angles and contours, ensuring precise machining of complex features.
