What Is Vacuum Casting?

Vacuum casting is a process that uses a silicone rubber mold and polyurethane resins to reproduce parts under vacuum. A master model is made by CNC or SLA, then a silicone mold is poured around it. Each mold can typically produce around 15 parts, depending on design and materials. It is perfect for complex shapes, fine surface details and small batches.

Typical Vacuum Casting Workflow

  1. Project & CAD Review: You share 3D data and requirements; we review feasibility and make suggestions.
  2. Master Model Fabrication: Master model is produced by CNC or SLA and finished to final surface level.
  3. Silicone Mold Making: Silicone is poured around the master and cured, then the mold is cut and prepared.
  4. Vacuum Casting: Polyurethane resin is mixed, degassed and poured into the mold under vacuum.
  5. Demolding & Finishing: Parts are taken out, trimmed, finished, painted or assembled as required.
  6. Inspection & Delivery: Final inspection before safe packing and shipment.
